There is a purpose why steel 'countertops' are a decision among commercial establishments. They are tough beasts that can endure 'almost' anything. Unlike other 'countertop 'materials that are contaminated by heat, you do not have to depress about your hot pots as well as pans breaking your regular steel countertop. Oil, acid as well as wine spills are also nothing. Just clean 'them' off as nothing occurred.
The nonporous variety of stainless 'steel' countertops also makes them really simple to maintain. Since fluids do not go behind the surface, there is nothing 'risk' of staining. Anything that 'spills' on the countertop can be immediately 'dealt' with by a fast wipe. The flexibility of a stainless 'steel' countertop is particularly beneficial for 'busy' kitchens. If you do a lot of 'cooking' whether for your big family or regular guests, consider spending in the hardy as well as the hardwearing 'stainless' countertop.
