Modular kitchens in India are also inspired by Vastu shastra, the epic and ultimate manuscript for home architecture. You can arrange your modular kitchen as per the rules described in vastu shastra and bring in a lot of positivity and creative energy in your kitchen. There are predefined locations for placing the sinks, water storage, food storage, fire/gas stove, cabinets etc in the vastu shastra to promote effective organization and use of the kitchen.
In order for an L shaped modular kitchen to be incorporated, the kitchen area itself must be built in a corner where two walls form a 90 degree angle to each other. This allows for the countertops to be placed perpendicular to each other so that you get the full advantage of the working triangle. This layout allows easy movement between the sink, the refrigerator and the oven or gas stove and makes meal preps quite efficient.
The earliest metal sinks often had backsplashes of metal, possibly zinc or lead. Copper sinks found their way into the butler's pantry because they were less likely to chip crystal than were stone sinks; there's little evidence for matching counters, although copper is being adopted for counters now.
